I am an Associate Professor IV at the Faculty of Medicine of Bahia (FMB), Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), where I work as Vice-Chief of the Department of Experimental Surgery and Surgical Specialties (DCEEC), Chief of the Chair of Orthopedics and Traumatology (MEDE18), Professor of the Chair Internship II in Clinical Surgery (MED244) and Supervisor of the Medical Residency Program in Orthopedics and Traumatology (MED914). I graduated in Medicine from the Bahian School of Medicine and Public Health (EBMSP, 1988-1993); I completed the Medical Residency Program in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Fernandinho Simonsen Pavilion, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Santa Casa de São Paulo (1994-1998). I am a Specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology (1998) and Surgical Oncology (2010). I have a Master's degree in Medicine, Orthopedics, and Traumatology (2001) and a PhD in Health Sciences (2007) from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (FCMSCMSP); I also have an Executive MBA in Administration - Health Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV, 2020) and a Specialization in Health Preceptorship from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN, 2020). I occupy Chair No. 18 of the Bahia Academy of Medicine and Chair No. 35 of the Bahian Institute of History of Medicine and Related Sciences. I have experience in the area of Medicine, with an emphasis on Orthopedics and Traumatology, Pain, Orthopedic Oncology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology, Musculoskeletal Infection, Surgical Rehabilitation of Amputees, Pain Intervention and History of Medicine.
